Senior Elysium System Engineer
Summary Description:
Responsible for coordinating implementations of Axolotl products
at customer locations as well as providing ongoing technical account

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Help Axolotl's Technical Operations team to troubleshoots and
solve customer problems.
- Manage the logistics of the implementation process for Axolotl
products at client sites.
- Provide technical account management to customers. Work with
customers to ensured technical issues are addressed in a timely
and thorough fashion. Other responsibilities include evaluating
the special needs of the client, providing statement of work and
requirement documents, project planning and coordinating activities
and issue lists.
- Act as liaison with hospital staff, development team, and implementation
team.
- Perform promotion and sales duties for existing accounts.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong technical skills, background in Windows and Lotus Domino/Notes
helpful.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Project and team management experience.
- Ability to work independently or part of a team, and to learn
diverse technologies quickly.
- Excellent follow-through skills; self-motivated and detail-oriented.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Healthcare experience a plus, as is physician office workflow
experience.
- College degree or equivalent experience.
- Ability to travel to customer sites as needed
Senior Software Engineer
Department: Research and Development
Reports To: Manager, Technology, Research and Development
Description
Create and improve software products and services which provide
our customers with greater productivity, efficiency, and clinical
efficacy. Participate as an individual contributor on teams that
carry out the full lifecycle of software development activities.

Responsibilities
- Analyze and define customer requirements.
- Design and develop software that meets customer requirements,
is reliable, and follows corporate standards.
- Assist in defining product technical architecture.
- Document designs for coding by other developers.
- Make accurate development effort estimates to assist management
in project and resource planning.
- Participate in peer reviews for designs, code, and other work
products.
- Perform software quality assurance, including all types of testing.
- Write technical documentation and assist Technical Writers with
creating end-user documentation.
- Advise Customer Service Engineers on planning software installations
and upgrades.
- Keep skills up to date through ongoing self-directed training.
- Advise management on how products and processes could be improved.
- Train and mentor other Software Engineers and Customer Service
Engineers on technical topics.
- Participate in healthcare informatics industry standards organizations.
Requirements
- Minimum two years commercial development experience.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of
a team.
- Thorough understanding of software development processes and
industry best practices.
- Thorough understanding of fundamental software engineering and
computer science principles: object-oriented design, structured
design, databases, algorithms, data structures, usability, refactoring,
debugging, and configuration management.
- Thorough understanding of service-oriented architecture (SOA)
concepts.
- A disciplined, engineering-oriented mindset.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong technical and platform knowledge, including some or all
of: Java/J2EE/JSF, IBM WebSphere Application Server, IBM Lotus
Notes/Domino, IBM DB2, XML, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, Microsoft
Windows, TCP/IP, HTTP, SOAP, HL7, LDAP.
- Formal training and/or certification in any of the above-mentioned
tools and technologies a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Advanced degree in a technical field a plus.
- Healthcare industry experience a plus.
Application Development Engineer
Department: Application Engineering and Deployment
Reports to: Application Engineering and Deployment Manager

Design and develop web based healthcare software and provide engineering
services for Axolotl customers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Achieve an excellent understanding of Axolotl's web based healthcare
applications.
- Develop product enhancements, fixes and releases, following
Axolotl's development process.
- Troubleshoot and solve customer technical problems raised by
Axolotl's technical operations team.
- Provide engineering services to customers. Work with them to
understand their technical requirements and environments; perform
technical analyses, and develop software solutions to address
their needs.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong technical and excellent troubleshooting skills.
- Good programming skills. Solid understanding of structured and
object oriented programming. Web development experience (HTML,
XML, XSL, CSS, JavaScript, Java) is a big plus.
- Ability to work with diverse technologies, independently or
as part of a team.
- Excellent follow-through skills; self-motivated and detail-oriented.
- Strong work ethic and desire to grow and develop with the company.
- Good verbal and written communication skills

by Axolotl's technical operations team.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to learn new technology quickly.
- Good understanding of programming concepts a plus, as is web
development experience (HTML, XML, XSL, CSS, JavaScript, Java).
