CCHIT NETWORK WORK GROUP PANEL ANNOUNCED

Certification Commission for Health Information Technology Workgroups

Mountain View, CA, July 9, 2007 - In an ongoing effort to provide the Health Information Exchange (HIE) market with guidelines for standards, Axolotl is pleased that Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT) has formed a work group panel of industry experts. The Network Work Group is tasked with refining and finalizing the criteria surrounding core network functionality required for effective health information exchange. Axolotl's experience in the HIE space will be utilized in the work group panel.

Margaret Suddards, Product Manager for Axolotl Corp. and Robert Steffel, Executive Director for Greater Cincinnati HealthBridge, Inc. have been selected to participate on the Network Work Group. With a comprehensive knowledge of industry standards and a depth of practical experience in HIE, Ms. Suddards and Mr. Steffel bring unique expertise to the work group.

CCHIT Work Group members are selected by the CCHIT Commission for their individual expertise and unique HIE involvement. The Work Groups focus on developing criteria - including health information technology product functionality, interoperability and security - and an inspection process by which products are judged in order to qualify for certification by CCHIT.

"Axolotl has always been a strong proponent of standards and had used them throughout all of its deployed health information exchanges. In looking forward, our breadth of experience in the HIE market and our expertise in consulting on the NHIN project makes us uniquely qualified to contribute to the formalization of the network standards. We are delighted that CCHIT has stepped up to the task of formalizing standards for HIE and have assembled a solid team with real industry experience to do so," stated Ray Scott, CEO of Axolotl.
