Company Extends Flagship Elysium technology
to seamlessly connect EMRs and enable full Interoperability
San Jose, CA, February 26, 2008 Axolotl Corp, the
industry's leading provider of advanced web-based information
management and exchange services, today announced the expansion
of its established Elysium product family to include the
Elysium Interoperability Hub (iHub). All EMRs inter-communicate
via the iHub - physicians are free to select the EMR vendor of
their choice. Patient data, referrals and requests for consultation
are immediately delivered to providers or healthcare organizations.
The iHub also distributes data from hospitals, labs, and radiology
centers directly into ambulatory care EMR's.
"We are excited about this new introduction to our product
family," said Ray Scott, Axolotl CEO. "Customers who
have worked with us in testing this product are excited about
the value it delivers to the physicians and patients in their
communities." Scott further commented, "We have now
reached the tipping point - full interoperability is no longer
an option, but rather an urgent and clear mandate."
The iHub stores configuration data for the mapping, routing and
delivery rules for each physician practice. The iHub supports
HL7 version 2.2 or greater, V3 CCD (R2/CCR), and NCPDP for drug
information. A version of the iHub supporting national standards
from HITSP, CCHIT and IHE is scheduled for release later this
year.
Axolotl will demonstrate its Elysium technology at the
Interoperability Showcase and the Axolotl booth (3451) at this
year's HIMSS conference in Orlando, FL. Featured guest speakers
at Axolotl's booth include Marc Holland of Health Industry Insights;
Ted Kremer, Executive Director of Rochester RHIO, Trudi Matthews
and Keith Hepp for HealthBridge; Dick Thompson, Executive Director
of Quality Health Network; and Dr. Robert Keet, CMO Axolotl corp.
