Axolotl Strengthens Executive Team to Expand Health Information Exchange Infrastructure Expertise


San Jose, CA, May 20, 2009—Axolotl Corp., the leader in health information exchange (HIE) solutions and services, announces the appointment of Robert Scarbrough as Director of IT Operations. Scarbrough will oversee all operational activities of the information technology department. With more than 15 years of experience in health care information technology, he is responsible for leading the technology operations team to develop, implement and maintain the company's systems, while adhering to corporate policies, standards and goals for the department.

Prior to joining Axolotl, Scarbrough served as Vice President of Information Technology at Swope Community Enterprise Services, where he managed all strategic and operational activities of the IT department, as well as provided direction and support for IT solutions that enhanced mission-critical business operations.

Before Swope Community Enterprises, Scarbrough also worked with HCA Midwest as a network/desktop analyst for the IT department. Previously, he was a leader in the United States Army for 10 years where he managed one of the largest joint-forces between outpatient ambulatory and ambulance service clinics in South Korea.

Scarbrough is a member of the Association of Information Technology Professionals and holds an MBA and an MA degree in Computer Resources and Information Management, both from Webster University.
