"Health Systems Choosing Interoperability HUB"
As physicians adopt ambulatory EMRs, so the demand for electronic delivery and
inter-communication grows. Facilities and communities are responding to this demand
just as the ability to be fully interoperable is much easier and extremely cost effective.
With Axolotl’s Elysium Exchange, hospitals have immediate interoperability for all
types of legacy systems and physician EMRs. Hospitals no longer need to develop
point-to-point interfaces to connect with the ever increasing number of EMRs. With a single
“pipe” hospitals can easily and quickly connect to admitting and referring
physicians, providing patient reports and clinical documents as soon as they are available -
directly into ambulatory care EMR's.
And, now with the Elysium Interoperability Hub all EMRs can inter-communicate freeing
physicians to select the EMR vendor of their choice. Patient data, referrals and requests
for consultation are immediately delivered to providers or healthcare organizations.
"Our physicians like to refer patients to our hospital because they know that they
will get results back as soon as the tests are completed," said Todd Martin, Manager,
Franciscan Health Systems in Tacoma.
"Physicians have confidence that the data will be presented within a few moments of
completion; saving non-productive telephone calls and follow up for both the physicians and
the lab and radiology departments," shared Dick Thompson, Executive Director for QHN, a
coalition of healthcare groups in Colorado.
"We are excited about these new introductions to our product family," said Ray
Scott, Axolotl CEO. "Customers who have worked with us in testing this product are excited
about the value it delivers to the physicians and patients in their communities." Scott
further commented, "We have now reached the tipping point - full interoperability is no
longer an option, but rather an urgent and clear mandate." |
