Elmhurst and Queens Hospital Centers, members of the New York City Health and
Hospitals Corporation, announced the selection of Axolotl Corp. to implement a regional
health information exchange. With a commitment to delivering the highest quality of
patient care, Elmhurst and Queens Hospital Centers will utilize Axolotl's advanced
Elysium® technology to connect community healthcare participants and provide an
electronic system for real-time delivery and sharing of clinical information among
healthcare professionals.

Using Axolotl's community-wide Patient Index to ensure correct identification of
all patients, providers in Queens will have the ability to access laboratory reports,
radiology reports/eImaging, medication history, allergies and other important patient
information across the region, via a secure web application. As well as connecting
to ambulatory care Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems, data will be available
through Axolotl's Virtual Health Record and its EMR-Lite product. Physicians will
also use Axolotl's integrated e-prescribing solution, with connectivity to SureScripts
and RxHub networks for prescriptions, renewals, formulary and eligibility data. |
